30MF Class Up Armor (Liber Commander)

The "Liber Commander" is the third branching upgrade meant for the Liber Knight, the others being the Holy Knight and the Paladin.
Rather than focusing on divinity or martial excellence, the Commander uses his skills and abilities to enhance the troops and allies that he leads or accompanies.

There's no included core, as this is strictly a Class-Up kit - It likely references the November release Rosan Commander, which will be a full character kit.

Aesthetics:
The entire armor set is metal injection silver, rife with swirls. While it thankfully avoids that milky translucent look of the Liber Enchanter's armor, it leaves dark marks everywhere, even if you deal with the nubs carefully, while also being more brittle than regular opaque polystyrene. Be careful when removing parts from their runners.
The cape, pennant and small heater shield are in blue-grey while the chest emblem and shield icon are in metallic injection "curry" gold.

The overall armor aesthetic is late Gothic to early Renaissance, mixed with JRPG fantasy exaggeration, without going overboard. It's largely ceremonial looking, giving you the distinct impression of an imposing commander, thanks to the 'horned crown' helmet mask and massive crest.

His ornate bastard sword is nearly 12cm long and his partisan/halberd polearm is a whopping 26cm (compared to the 17cm at the crest Silhouette 1 - not included). The pennant section is removable, giving the option for a slightly shorter polearm.
The shield is one of the smallest in the line, while the cape is in three parts on pegged ball-joints.

Compatibility:
This is meant for the Silhouette 1 and will largely be incompatible with the Silhouette 2, with maybe a few exceptions. Color-wise it's meant to match the Liber Knight or Priest Silhouettes, but you can use any of them.

Unlike the Rosan Fortress that released at the same time, the armor is entirely symmetrical and there's not much value in getting more of these, except for mixing and matching armors for custom characters.

You have to supply your own armor ring parts and shield connector/grip (comes with all character kits - the Fighter and Knight Option kits also have grey ring parts).

Conclusion:
The silver could be worse, but this should've just been an opaque grey suit of armor. One of the lines biggest strengths were the generic looking Liber Knight and Liber Fighter kits that rely entirely on their stylized design and simplicity. The Commander kit is the opposite of that, it's flashy and extremely ornamental, making it harder to match to other armor pieces, especially without painting it.

It's a cool stand-alone character, but I feel like it misses the point and goes against the more mechanical and harder edged designs of other armor sets in 30MF.

My gripes aside, it's a competent kit with good options, especially the cape parts that go well with anything.
