30MM's Edgier Mecha

The Levinix is part of the Maxion forces: Sentient artificial mecha lifeforms fighting against Earth and their alien opponents in a three-way battle.

The Levinix itself is the culmination of capturing and researching enemy mecha, being a versatile and adaptable unit that is highly customizable (aka you are encouraged to make your own version). This approach is something Bandai has been pushing hard with alternative limbs and parts kits, but here it's part of the lore that no two are alike and that their loadout depends on their role.

Aesthetics:
It's a sleek white-on-black mecha with transparent purple parts, that resembles a sci-fi soldier in combat armor wearing a militaristic sci-fi space helmet. It is even more proportioned like a person, than the much slimmer Spinatio mecha. The color scheme is unlike that of any of the other Maxion forces and frankly doesn't really match any other 30MM models either - Perhaps the intention is to have a relatively neutral base to build on by adding your own tertiary and accent colors.

Mechanics/Compatibility:
The model is built on the Spinatio joint runner and has that familiar double polycap midsection. Apart from the ones in the thighs for a total of four ball polycaps, the rest is plastic-on-plastic and is about as unremarkable as a 30MM model gets, with no extra moving shoulder joints. All you get are drop-down hips and the usual C-clip bends.

The exceptions are the backpack-mounted holsters that pivot, so it can draw from over its shoulder.

When it comes to compatibility, everything is modular and you can separate the shield into C-clip anchored skirt armor or hang them from other points. You can move the holsters elsewhere and likewise the four ring sheaths for its daggers.

I'm sure you can swap heads, arms and legs as usual, but I'm not seeing anything that makes this model particularly adaptable or really any sort of related, matching kit to expand on them. There are plenty of hard points and you can move several of the armor pieces around, especially with the small runner containing male-to-male 3mm pegs, but that's about it.

Equipment:
5 Hands - Holding, spread open and one angled downwards hand (fencing stance) - They share the same two included back plates
1 Shield consisting of two transparent parts held by two middle pieces
2 Gun Blades - Revolvers with removable and transparent large sword blades (must've stolen them from Squall) - The blades use a weapons tab to connect with, so you can replace gun barrels with them on other weapons or slot them into compatible holes
4 Daggers - These are black hilts with energy blades, each of which has the old-style small square peg connector
4 Ring Sheaths for the daggers - They have a 3mm peg to peg onto anything (reverse of the 30MF Assassin equivalents that have a hole instead of a peg)

Conclusion:
I bought this for the equipment, since the daggers can fit into fantasy as well as sci-fi, making them appropriate for 30MF.

The Levinix itself is sort of an 'edgy' model design with a deliberately sleeker and slightly more menacing look with its purple visor, than most of 30MM, which has a softer look. This is much closer to Gundam, especially if you hide the hard points.

While the lore says that it's adaptable and the manual shows a level 1 to 3 progression of 'creating your own original unit', there's basically nothing here that goes out of its way to be more compatible. Maybe the proportions are friendlier to modification or maybe there's some consideration to shoulders not getting in the way, but it's not something I've noticed, it seems to be generically as good at part or limb swapping with other kits as much as anything else.

Its black cousin, the Type B, seems to have as many different parts as it shares with this model, using other armor and weapon parts, while also reusing a lot of the same ones (like a 3-bladed chakram using the same dagger blades and combining the gun blades into a sword), in another color scheme.
