A humongous, cool looking lobster statue

The fact that a 1/100 scale Nightingale exists is impressive in its own right. This monster of a kit is roughly the same height as the MG Sazabi Ver. Ka., and about three times wider in all other directions.

The detail on it is far from as bad as I thought it was going to be, as there's a decent amount of surface detail all over. The kit unfortunately only comes with a sheet of sticker decals, which don't look too great on all the red surfaces it has. The most impressive part of this things appearance, besides the sheer size, is definitely the amount of thrusters that are located all over the kit. I painted the thrusters on mine with Molotow Chrome and EX Yellow Gold, and I think they turned out great.

When it comes to articulation, you should not expect much- if anything. You can move the arms around fine and the hands are fully articulate, but everything else is basically immobile (no sub-arm functionality either). The stability of the kit is, however, very good. The large feet are great for keeping him placed firmly on a flat surface, and it even has a small, built in stand to support the butt-flap.

He comes with a huge shield, an insanely long beam rifle (around 30cm) and a beam tomahawk. The kit has no issues holding the shield or tomahawk, but the rifle can be a little awkward to get in position, which is simply due to its length.

The kit is not bad at all if you want a 1/100 scale Nightingale, or just a giant centerpiece for your collection. With a little bit of extra work, it's sure to come out looking nice.
