This is a WFM kit and as with all WFM kits it comes with plenty of options, is engineered (mostly) well and has baller MS design. I can still recommend it for beginners, but probably not a very first kit, here's why;
1. It's got a very nice deep reddish purple color! But it also means that nub marks are much more visible and take care and good cutters and good cutting ethic to minimize. The surface finish wears off to reveal the pink inside very easily which makes sanding marks become very visible, which can be unintuitive and frustrating for a new builder with less tools.
2. The front left skirting armor snapped in half during assembly. Please be delicate with it as I had to glue it to get it right and that sucked. I'd never had a part snap on me like that before.
3. There are massive unavoidable seamlines on the sides of the legs. Since this is a leggy, chubby girl (which we love) this is pretty apparent and will prompt plastic cement & paint for more experienced builders, which isn't always great. This kit looks baller as hell if you give it a matte topcoat, though.
Overall, keep these things in mind and go into it with the expectation of doing a little more work than usual if seamlines and nub marks bother you. This is "meh" by the almost outrageously high Witch from Mercury kits standards, but still a hella good kit by normal HG standards. I especially like the weapons and how they can be stored on the kit itself - but the beam rifle is so dope I gave it to my Lfrith Thorn instead and it looks awesome.
